1. Scope and Applicability

1.1 Scope

This Standard specifies the Software Quality Assurance Program requirements to be implemented, and maintained in order to assure that predeveloped software for noncritical applications conforms to published specifications.

1.2 Applicability

This Standard applies to the acquisition and customer acceptance of predeveloped software for noncritical applications when specified by contract or purchase order.

For Quality Assurance Program requirements applicable to hardware refer to the CSA CAN3-Z299 Series of Standards.
